Unique 3-Day Experience

If you’ve ever dreamed of sailing towards Gibraltar on a yacht, let me tell you this adventure is much more than just a boat ride. It’s three days of sailing, relaxation, great food, and unique moments that start in Puerto Banús and finish with unforgettable memories.

What Makes This Sailing Trip Special

Why sail to Gibraltar?

Sailing is unlike any other way of traveling. It’s not only about reaching a destination but also about enjoying the journey: feeling the wind in the sails, listening to the sea, or stopping for a refreshing swim. Every time I do this trip, I see how quickly passengers switch to the slow rhythm of the sea.

How it differs from other boat tours in Marbella

Unlike a one-day tour, this is a full 3-day, 2-night experience. The yacht has double cabins, up to six passengers to spend the night, and the highlight: we combine real sailing (whenever there’s wind) with time on land in Sotogrande and, of course, Gibraltar.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 – From Puerto Banús to Sotogrande (24 miles)

We set sail from Puerto Banús towards Sotogrande. Onboard we prepare a lunch, enjoyed on deck with sea views. Weather permitting, we stop so passengers can swim in open waters—a favorite moment for many.
Once in Sotogrande, the yacht stays moored in port, and guests have free time to explore or enjoy dinner ashore.

Day 2 – Sailing Around the Rock of Gibraltar (20 miles)

The day begins with a  breakfast at Sotogrande marina. Then we continue sailing, circling the majestic Rock of Gibraltar, one of the most breathtaking sights from the sea.
Lunch is served onboard, and later we dock at Puerto de la Alcaidesa. Guests have the afternoon free to visit Gibraltar: the old town, the nature reserve, or the famous monkeys. Dinner is free in town.

Day 3 – Return to Puerto Banús (44 miles)

The last day starts with a breakfast at the marina before sailing straight back to Puerto Banús (44 miles). This longer stretch is perfect for relaxing, sunbathing, or even taking the helm with the crew’s guidance.

What’s Included in the Trip

Lunches onboard

All lunches are freshly prepared and served on the yacht. As for breakfasts, day two is enjoyed in Sotogrande marina, and day three in Puerto de la Alcaidesa.

Sleeping in double cabins on the yacht, moored in port

Both nights are spent in port, in the yacht’s comfortable double cabins. It combines the safety of being docked with the charm of waking up on a boat.

Activities while sailing (swimming, sunbathing, views, steering, sailing basics)

Besides sailing, passengers can swim, sunbathe on deck, and take in the views. For those who want a more hands-on experience, there’s the chance to take the helm and learn basic sailing skills from the crew.

Practical Information

Yacht capacity and type

The yacht accommodates up to six passengers to spend the night in three double cabins. It’s designed to be both comfortable and authentic for sailing.

Requirements and experience level

No prior sailing experience is needed. The crew takes care of everything, though guests are always welcome to join in—hoisting sails, steering, or just learning the basics.

Best time of year for this trip

This sailing adventure is best enjoyed from spring to autumn, when the weather is stable, and winds are favorable for sailing.

Visiting Gibraltar

The Rock from the sea

Few sights are as impressive as the Rock of Gibraltar seen from the water. Sailing around it is one of the highlights of the journey.

Things to see on land: old town and nature reserve

Once ashore, I always recommend visiting Gibraltar’s old town and heading up to the nature reserve, where you’ll find monkeys, caves, and stunning views. Guests love the freedom to explore at their own pace before returning to the yacht.
