Day 1: Heading to Sotogrande from Marbella
Departure from Puerto Banús and first miles sailing
The adventure begins early at Puerto Banús. After check-in, the sailboat sets off southwest. The first feeling as Marbella fades behind is the freedom of the open sea.
During the trip, the sails are hoisted whenever the wind allows. Guests are encouraged to take the helm and learn the basics of sailing. This turns the experience into more than tourism—it’s a hands-on introduction to the nautical world.
Stop at sea for a refreshing swim and lunch on board
At any point along the way, the boat can stop for a swim in the calm waters of the Costa del Sol. This break is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Mediterranean.
On board, the crew serves a Spanish tapas-style lunch: tortilla, Iberian ham and cheese platter, hummus, and fresh bread. Eating on deck with the sea as the backdrop makes this one of the highlights of the day.
Arrival in Sotogrande and free time at the marina
By late afternoon the boat docks at Sotogrande’s marina. Guests then have free time to stroll around, dine at one of the many restaurants, and soak up the relaxed atmosphere. The night is spent on board the sailboat, comfortably moored in Sotogrande.
